Van Racking is offered for a range of Ford work vans. In order to operate in tough conditions while providing ease of use, Ford work vans need van racking suited both to the van and most importantly, to you. The smallest model, the Transit Courier, offers 2.3 cu.m of load volume, which is 10% more than other vehicles in the same class. Behind the standard full bulkhead, there’s room for a Euro pallet and a generous payload capacity of 660kg.

With the mid-range Transit Connect and Transit Custom models, you get practical, comfortable, and safe vans equipped with the latest high-tech driving features. The long wheelbase cargo van offers up to 149 cu. ft. of storage* and a payload rating of 1,610 lbs. The short wheelbase van, boasting best-in-class** maneuverability, offers a maximum of 124.3 cu. ft. of cargo space and a 1,470-lb. payload rating. The largest Ford work van, the Transit, is available in several roof heights and wheelbase lengths, allowing you to maximize the substantial space according to your needs.

Installation instructions

We recommend that the installation of the interior and accessories for your Ford utility van is performed by one of our dealers to guarantee correct assembly. This not only ensures a professional installation but also provides a 5-year warranty on both the interior and the installation. If you choose to perform the installation yourself, we provide general instructions, which grants a 3-year warranty on the interior. For advice regarding your interior, our professional builders are always available.

Traditionally, shelves and drawers are the most common systems for van interiors. However, everything from a screwdriver holder to a ladder holder can be part of your van rack.

There are several ways to build racking and shelves in a van. It’s recommended to preassemble the shelves outside the van and lift the unit into the van, then securely attach the shelf frames. Usually, the shelf frame is the load-bearing structure to which everything is attached.

Depending on the end-user, requirements can vary significantly. System Edström can provide transport vehicle accessories for most applications, and one of our many dealers can help you better understand your needs.

Bright LED lights similar to those in the driver’s cabin with sufficient lumens are undoubtedly the best way to illuminate the interior of a van in the cargo space. The advantage of LED is that you can easily mount it in several different places in the van.
