As a carpenter, Felix knows what it takes from a work van. Here we follow along as he showcases the Kia PV5 Cargo and the features that make it a smart choice for trade professionals.
One of the advantages is the low load floor height of 419 mm which, combined with a generous load space (1520 mm in full), offers excellent loading capacity relative to the size of the van, he explains.
– It means you can install a false floor and still have plenty of space left in the van, says Felix Lundin.
Multiple smart charging features
Beyond the space, there are several smart features when it comes to power supply. With vehicle-to-load (V2L) you can easily charge tools and use power directly from the van throughout the working day.
– It’s a real game changer for me. With 230V and up to 3600W, I can both charge batteries and run larger machines, such as a construction vacuum cleaner.
There’s also a practical rest mode that lets you use both V2L and the van’s comfort features for extended periods.
– It means you can, for example, have a microwave in the van and heat up food when it’s time for a break, he says.
With our pegboard trays and tool holders, you can easily store tools that you can charge via the vehicle-to-load outlet.
